w3af and outdated python

Most of w3af's code is written in such a way that it will run with Python2.7 , the issue we're expecting is for some of the third party libraries to fail during the installation and/or run phase.

 

We haven't deeply tested w3af in Python2.7 since we don't see it as a priority (most linux environments still have it easily accessible through "apt"). I've heard about people that run w3af with python 2.7 without any major issues, so if you feel adventurous please test and let us know

 

If your question was about running with Py3k, we're far away from that since our code was NOT written for that and our third party libraries WILL FAIL on that setup.
